Obituary

Jane Althea Roux, affectionately known as Grandma Roux, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the age of 77. She was born on April 14, 1948, in Bangor, Maine.

Jane was a homemaker who dedicated her life to her family, a life defined by her selfless nature.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Robert Roux Sr.; her son, Richard Roux; her parents, Derrill and Ruth Littlefield; and brother, Zane Littlefield. The reunion with them is a comfort to those she leaves behind.

Jane is survived by her children: Robert Roux Jr. and his wife Michelle of Fanning Springs, Florida; and Lorna Radcliff and her husband Chuck of Live Oak, Florida. She is also survived by her cherished sisters, Jeri Marceau and her husband Gerard of Fanning Springs, Florida, and Cleora Jordan of Maine.

Jane's greatest joy was her large and loving extended family, which includes nine beloved grandchildren and seventeen precious great-grandchildren.

In keeping with Jane's humble and private nature, a funeral service will be held privately for immediate family members only.

I am going to miss GiGi. I’m going to miss seeing her on the back porch when we come home. Presumably just smoking but knowing she was waiting for us. She was Lorna’s biggest fan when she was gardening. She would always turn her chair so she could see us working in the garden. I loved getting to see Lorna and her mom play rummy. Every night was a tournament of champions. I’m sure Jane came out on top on that one. I loved all the snacks she kept in the cupboard and trying not to get caught sneaking some. I got busted a lot. I loved having GiGi here with us and knowing she was safe. I loved GiGi and I miss her terribly!! Rest in Peace Mom

Gigi came into my life not from the very beginning but you would never be able to tell her that. She made me feel the most welcome out of anyone coming into a new family. She loved me and treated me as her own grandson and I loved and thought of her as my own grandmother as well. She was always very sweet to me and I will always remember her hugs and warm words of encouragement as we sat and talked on various porches throughout our lives. She will be missed and will always have nothing but happy and cherished memories from me and my family. Love you Gigi. You will be missed ❤️

Mom, I wish I had words to explain how much I miss you. It hurts. Thank you for being a part of our home for the last year and trusting us to be there for you. I am thankful for each and every day and there’s not a day that passes that I wish I just had one more to spend with you.
