Obituary

Naomi June Walkwitz was an amazing wife, mother and missionary! She loved people, she loved me and our 3 sons, and she loved Abba, her Father in heaven, with all her heart. In return, people loved Naomi. Our sons and I loved and cared for her until the end, and Abba loved her and watched over her. Now Naomi is with Abba forever. Naomis early years as a ward of the State of Ohio living in foster homes helped shape her character into a humble, self-less servant of Almighty God. With no family behind her, her Pastor helped her through teen years and college until I "liberated her as she said" with a marriage that lasted almost 68 years. During those years, most of my thoughts and actions affected Naomi either directly or indirectly as we enjoyed serving Abba 24/7 with no need for any "get-away vacation." We loved Abba and the people and ministry He gave us. Following the Bibles pattern for marriage, Naomi focused on her family and domestic responsibilities so that I was free for the essential Bible teaching and discipleship ministry. Naomi was obedient, never challenged my leadership but backed me up in our teamwork together. When we received the news that our first-born son Ray and family of 4 perished in that fiery plane crash in the Bahamas at 5:00 pm on March 22, 1998, Naomi was up to the task, as we calmly Thanked Abba for the years we had them and accepted the fact that they were Abbas family and He took them Home. Naomi is with Ray & family now! Naomi is survived by her husband Roger, sons Randy and Ron, grandsons Jake and Sam, granddaughter Cloe, and sisters Viola and Kennetha.

Though I know my sweet, kind and funny mother-in-law is with Jesus and free of pain, I miss her greatly. From the first day I met her in 1985, she was so welcoming, loving and was like a mom to me. Always there to help, listen and pray with you. I enjoyed shopping, laughing, teaching me recipes and playing countless games of Rummikub with her. Naomi was the best Grandma to our two sons. Love you Naomi, an angel.

Mom was an amazing woman. We called her "Saint Naomi" for good reason; she was gentle, loving and caring. People were drawn to her because she loved people unconditionally. I miss her so much and there will always be a hole in my heart, but I also know that she is rejoicing in Heaven! This makes me happy.I love you Momma! Randy

Naomi is & always will be, one beautiful lady, loving, giving, always willing to help out in any way she could. We so enjoyed her in our Bible studies. She was a good friend to my mother in love and I am sure my mother in love was so happy to see her again. It's not good bye, she is waiting for us and we get to spend eternity with her and it just doesn't get any better than that! Enjoy your homecoming party Naomi, we will be there soon.

To the eyes and hearts of everyone that Naomi touched with her sweet smile and caring thoughts and words, we are convinced that whatever we are, whatever we had become, we owe it to those who have left an imprint in our lives, Lola Naomi as she is fondly called is one of them. May her memory ever be a blessing.<br>From our Family and the Calgary Lchaim Bible Fellowship
