William Harrison, Sr.

William Carter Harrison, Sr. of Williston, Florida, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at the age of 92 years old. William was born on August 15, 1932 to parents John Kirkland Harrison, Sr. and Callie Slethea Carter Harrison. He was a lifelong resident of Williston and worked for many years as a correctional officer for the Florida Department of Corrections. Some of his hobbies included hunting, target practice, and spending time with his family, who he loved dearly. William is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barbara, and his son Steve. He is survived by his children Bill Jr., Daniel, Suzanne (Ralph), and Judy, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Knauff Funeral Home in Williston at 2:30PM, the family will receive friends one hour prior. Dr. Bea Newhart will officiate. Arrangements are under the care of Knauff Funeral Home in Williston.
