Nella Powers

Nella Jenkins Powers, 85, of Umatilla, FL and Bland, VA, passed peacefully Wednesday, April 21, 2021. Nella was born in Tampa, FL and was a lifelong resident of Umatilla, Florida, graduating with the Class of 1954 from Umatilla High School. She was a member of Bastian Union Church of Bastian, Va. Nella enjoyed singing; especially at church. She was an avid reader and writer throughout her life and enjoyed the Virginia mountains and her animals. She is survived by her children: Son, Ray Powers of Eustis, FL; Son, Randy Powers of Eustis FL, Daughter, Bonnie (Mark) Warren of Chiefland, FL; Brother, Joe Jenkins of Eustis FL, 5 grandchildren Jessica (Daniel) Kennedy, Leighton (Amanda) Powers, Jared Warren, Caleb (Cody) Warren, Cara (Parker) Vincent and 4 great grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Umatilla on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Knauff Funeral Home of Chiefland, Florida was entrusted with arrangements.
