Johnny Calvin Sheppard was born in Williston, Florida, on August 9, 1967, to Patsy and R.C. Sheppard of Chiefland. Johnny died at his home on February 3, 2026.
Johnny was larger than life and known for his strength, charismatic personality, and doing life exactly as he chose. Johnny's greatest pride was being a father to Zakary Calvin and Lucas James Sheppard. Johnny proudly served in the USMC. Johnny worked primarily as a heavy equipment operator and spent a few years working sales in the beverage distribution industry.
Johnny was a member of the Hardeetown Baptist Church.
Johnny was preceded in death by his father (R.C. Sheppard). He was immediately joined in death by his mother (Patsy Sheppard). He is survived by his sons Zakary Calvin and Lucas James, his favorite sister Deanna Sheppard, Rhonda Sheppard, and brother Mark along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Weems & Sons Funeral Home, 715 West Park Avenue, Chiefland, Florida 32626. The family will receive friends for visitation from 11am-1pm.
