Wilma Green

Wilma Jean "Cookie" Green, age 84, of Williston Florida left her earthly home bound for heaven on February 2, 2021. Cookie was born March 8, 1936 in Levy County, Florida to George William Green and Lorene Bell Green. Cookie was raised by and lived with her mother all her life until her mother entered a nursing facility, at which time Cookie became a resident of Sunshiners Group Home in Williston. Cookie quickly became acclimated to living in her new home and made many friends over the ensuing fifteen years. She was truly loved by her fellow residents and caretakers at the group home. Wilma Jean, affectionately known by her family and friends as Cookie, was truly a special child of God. She had a pure, kind spirit and a heart full of love for everyone. She loved all animals, especially her dog, Sparky Sport, and her chickens. Cookie was predeceased by her mother and father, her brothers, William W. Green, Glenward D. Green and George W. Green, Jr and her sisters, Imogene Z. OSteen, Ruby J. Green and Barbara G. Edwards. She is survived by her brother, Albert Roscoe Green, her sister-in-law, Joyce Green, and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 8, 2021 at 11:30 AM at the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Archer, Florida, with Pastor Richard Norman officiating.
