George Eckerson

George Floyd Eckerson, 96, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021. Born in Tappan, NY, he was the son of the late Wilhelmina May Conklin Eckerson and the widower of June Carol Eckerson and Lillian Eckerson. He was a veteran of the US Army, 87th Infantry Division and 312 Engineers and retired from Ryder Systems. Survivors include a daughter, Candy Frangella and husband, Kent; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sons, George Eckerson and William Lambert; and a number of brothers and sisters. Stribling Funeral Home in Duncan, South Carolina and Knauff Funeral Home of Williston is in charge of arrangements. A private burial was held at the Orange Hill Cemetery in Williston, Florida.
