Frederick Charlton

Mr. Frederick Colman Charlton of Chiefland, FL passed over on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at the age of 90. Born to Clifford and Sophia Charlton in Ferndale, MI. Fred moved to The Villages, FL in 1989 and to Chiefland, FL in 2012. Fred served his country in the United States Army Air Corp. He graduated from Radio and Television College and also graduated from University of Detroit with his Masters Degree. He worked at Ford Motor Company in the Tractor Division as a systems analyst for 31 years and retired in 1986. Fred enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, running, singing (he was in many church choirs and also sang in a barbershop quartet) and traveling with his family. Fred leaves behind his loving wife of 65 years Gloria, son, Rob (Jane), daughter Kathy, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and many other family members. A Memorial Service will be held at a later time.
