Alma Smith

Alma "Ruth" Smith, age 80, of Chiefland, Florida, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2020. Ruth was born August 23, 1939 in Anderson, Missouri. She was one of 15 children born to Henry "Preston" Reynolds and Dorothy Lucille Drake. She was owner and operator of the Suwannee Gables Motel in Old Town, Florida and manager of All Star Fun Park in Chiefland. She was also the owner of a Commercial window cleaning business in Chiefland. She was a devout Christian and member of Forward Church of Chiefland. She was always there with a prayer and a hug whenever you needed it. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands Larry Dewayne Hannah and Bob Long, seven brothers Joe, Kenny, Everett, Herb, John, Henry and Jackie and three sisters, Nava Lee Reynolds, Pearl Spence, and Lucille Boyd. Ruth is survived by her daughters Janelle (Paul) Lundy of Chiefland. Stacey (Bob) Kraynack of Cumming, Ga., Son, Rob (Kim) Long of Brooker, Fl. Grandchildren, Crystal (Justin) Tillery of Pensacola, Shawn (Carrie) Lundy of Chiefland, Ashley Long of Chiefland, Jessica and Allie Kraynack of Cumming, Ga. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 3 PM at graveside in the Chiefland Cemetery in Chiefland, Florida. Knauff Funeral Home of Chiefland is honored to serve the Smith family.
