Patsy DeMates

Mrs. Patsy I. DeMates of Morriston, Florida, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at E.T. York Haven Hospice Care Center in Gainesville, Florida surrounded by her loving family. She was 80. Mrs. DeMates was born in Pattonsburg, Missouri and she came to Morriston, Florida 24 years ago from Lapeer, Michigan. She was a homemaker and her hobbies were gardening, crossword puzzles and family. Patsy is survived by Sons, Mark DeMates, James DeMates, Jr. (Nancy), Daughter, Cynthia DeMates. Brother, William Marshall and Sister Barbara Hart. Patsy is survived by four Grandchildren and three Great Grandchildren. She is pre-deceased by her late husband of 62 years James DeMates, Sr. in May of 2019. A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date. Knauff Funeral Home-Williston in charge of arrangements.
