Joy Smith

Mrs. Joy S. Smith a lifetime resident of Williston passed away on Saturday March 21, 2020 at the E. T. York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville, FL. She was 91. Born in Cecil, GA. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Williston, and for 18 years she was the supervisor of elections in Levy County. Her family was always her top priority. Mrs. Smith is survived by her son, Woody (Connie) Smith; daughter, Cheri S. Crane; sister, Janie Thompkins and five grandchildren. She is pre-deceased by her loving husband, Roy Smith in 2006 and son, Donell Smith in 2002. Due to the COVID-19 a graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at the Orange Hill Cemetery in Williston, FL with Rev. Danny Bennett officiating.
