Virginia Hamler

Virginia D. Hamler of Bronson, FL passed away peacefully on November 23, 2019 at the age of 101. She was born in Grifton, NC on April 4, 1918 to parents Nathan and Lilly Dessie Stanley. She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara "Bobbi" (Gene) Owen of Newberry, FL and Alice Hamler of Bronson, FL; sister, Mildred Stanley of Williston, FL; daughter-in-law, Judy Hamler of Gibsonville, NC; seven grandsons; one great granddaughter; very special and loving nieces and nephews and loving church family. She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Arthur Hamler; son, Fred Hamler; her parents and nine siblings. Virginia grew up on her familys farm before marrying her beloved husband where she followed him into his Baptist Ministry which took them into Ohio, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida. Upon retirement they settled in Bronson where she had lived the past 40 years. They enjoyed travels, camping and spending time with family. She enjoyed her gardening and especially her beautiful flowers. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Bronson, FL where her church family and friends were very dear to her heart. The family would like to thank Ayers Health and Rehabilitation Center and her wonderful church family of the First Baptist Church of Bronson for their loving, care and support they bestowed upon her as well as her family. Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Bronson, FL. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 PM.
