Wesley White, Sr.
November 21, 1950 - December 19, 2025
Obituary
Wesley Marshburn White, Sr, of Chiefland rode off into the sunset on December 19, 2025, at the age of 75. Wes, as he was known to his many friends and family, was born November 21, 1950, to Luther & Juanita White.
Wes lived in Bronson as a young child and moved as an adolescent to Chiefland where his family was instrumental in many businesses, including White Farms, White Construction, and White Ford. Wes was a 1968 graduate of Chiefland High School where he played football and was an accomplished pole vaulter.
A lover of horses, Wes worked as a trainer and was a natural on the farm. He was at ease and was considered to be a “horse whisperer” by those who watched him ride and work with the horses. Working other jobs always brought Wes back to horses and he worked for a while transporting livestock. With his easy smile and good looks, Wes made many friends and will long be remembered for his charming southern drawl. Wes was a true cowboy in every sense of the word.
Wes is survived by his sons, Jonathan Wesley White and Wesley Marshburn White, Jr., grandsons Justyn (Megan), Wacey, Jackson, and Layne, granddaughter Margaret, great grandson, Justyn Case and stepchildren, Justin and Katie. He is also survived by his brother, Luther White Jr. (Karen) sisters, Nancy White and Betsy White and caregivers, Mari, and Priscilla, along with his cat, Annie.
A graveside service with Mrs. Adamarie Keeton officiating will be held on Tuesday, December 23rd at 2:00 pm at Rosemary Hill Cemetery in Bronson. Family and friends are invited to share in remembering this one-of-a-kind cowboy, Wes White.
