David Stone, Sr.

We are deeply sorry for your loss ~ Weems & Sons Funeral Homes - Chiefland

Mr Stone was a very nice person. We worked together at the adult and community education in Bronson., Deborah and family, I will keep you in my prayers.

So hard to find the words that can explain how much I respected Mr. Stone. So many memories of him as principal from his first day to many days working with him at the college. Mr. Stone came as my guest to my first college graduation and I was so proud to have him there. Mr. Had way of writing so beautifully even when being funny and I wish I had some of the hand written letters I typed for him. So many memories over so many years and some that made me laugh until I cried. Such a wonderful person and I will always cherish every memory.

Lovingly referred to by his grandchildren as, "grandpa grouch" (per his request, but they never thought he was grouchy); his art, sense of humor, and love of classical music will be missed. We're choosing to celebrate his reunion with the good many people who preceded him in mortality graduation and know he was welcomed by a Florida marsh landscape equipped with blue herons, marsh hens, and a plethora of cute critters.
