Peter Copeland

Mr. Peter Barry Copeland of Ocala, FL passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 in his home. He was 81. Born in Bronx, NY, and after spending 20 years in Stuart, FL, Mr. Copeland lived in Ocala for the last 30 years. Retiring is 2017 after 25 years working for Sallee Horse Vans Inc. Along with his love for horses, he was a member of the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners Association. He was known to most of Marion County Horsemen and Horsewomen as a respected authority in the Equine Sales and Racing industry. Pete had a generous nature and was a stranger to no one. He will be greatly missed by horse farms in Ocala and surrounding areas. His number one top priority was always his family. Mr. Copeland is survived by his son Stephen (Jo) Copeland, Brother Bruce Copeland, sister Linda Copeland and 3 grandsons Eric, Matthew and Michael. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Mr. Copeland is under the care of the Knauff Funeral Home-Chiefland, FL.
