Dorothy Mae Coggins of Trenton, FL passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at NFRMC in Gainesville, FL. She was 81. Dorothy is survived by her 2 sons Leslie (Ruby) Croft of Gainesville, Randy (Trish) Hammock of Fanning Springs, 3 daughters Lorrie (Bama) Hammock of Trenton, Debra (Jerry) Gaines of Fanning Springs, Valda (Sam) Lyle of Trenton, brother Donald Tanner of Williston, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 21, 2018 at the Fanning Springs Community Church, Fanning Springs, FL with David Johnson officiating. Dorothy is under the care of the Knauff Funeral Home-Chiefland, FL. SERVICES

My dear mama, the day God took you from me, he took away your pain and suffering, your fear, that I know you had of not understanding of what was going on with you. But he also took my heart. My life will never be ok, with you gone. I do believe that you are happy now and in no pain or fear. For that I am so thankful, but the selfish part in me wishes I still had you here. I miss you so very much. Mama you told once that you were afraid that once you passed away, that you would be forgotten. Well I can assure you, Mama that you have not will never be forgotten as long as I breath. I visit always, at least once a month but sometimes more. You know the old saying is true. You never say enough, before someone passes. I truly wish I had more time you. You were my mama and daddy for 53 years. God was so good to me to have blessed me with you. I love you Mama forever and 1 day. Lorrie
