Ruie Sheppard

Ruie Calvin "R.C." Sheppard was born on May 7, 1941 to Ruie Hubbard Sheppard and Corean Allen Sheppard in Chiefland, Florida. R.C. had two older sisters Rose Marie Sheppard and Betty Sheppard Moring. R.C. was a member of the Hardeetown Baptist Church. R.C. was a lifelong resident of Chiefland. He graduated from Chiefland High School in 1959 and married Patricia Ernestine Davis on Feb. 7, 1961. R. C. and Patsy have four children all of Chiefland. Rhonda Heatherly, Mark Sheppard, Johnny Sheppard and Deanna Sheppard. R.C. has six grandchildren Malorie Lowe, Shelby Sheppard, Trevor Castell, Dylan Sheppard Castell, Zak Sheppard and Lucas Sheppard. Two great-grandchildren Natalie and Brent Lowe. R.C. was self-employed at South Side Service Center where he worked until the day before he passed away. R.C.s love was hunting, fishing, and all things woods related. R.C. was a man of few words but he was a man of his word. He was called to be with the Lord on Sept. 22, 2018, from his tree stand while on the phone with his love of 57 years. A service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at the Knauff Funeral Home Chapel in Chiefland, FL with Rev. Chuck Cook officiation. Visitation will be 1 hour prior from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Long Pond Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of the Knauff Funeral Home-Chiefland, FL. SERVICES
