Obituary

Dr. Ronald Spink, a dedicated veterinarian and beloved member of his community, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025. Known for his lifelong love of animals and his compassionate care, he touched the lives of countless families and their pets throughout his years in practice.



Ron was born May 31, 1939 in Muskegon Michigan to the late Richard and Maxine (Benham) Spink. He is survived by his only daughter, Rhonda (Randy) Brainerd of Plainwell MI; two grandchildren, Erica (Jaymes) Kyle of Portage MI, Ashley (Dan) Mantione of Kalamazoo, MI and his sister Marcia (David) D'Alcorn of Muskegon, MI. Ron was preceded in death in addition to his parents by his brother Bruce Spink.


In accordance with his wishes, no service will be held. Those wishing to honor his memory may consider a donation to a local animal shelter or rescue organization.

Arrangements are under the care of Weems & Sons Funeral Home, 715 West Park Avenue, Chiefland, Florida 32626

What a treasure this man was. I will never find a vet as good as he was. He was compassionate and actually cared. He came in on a Sunday during a hurricane to deliver kittens for a momma kitty in distress for me. We will miss you Dr. Spink. Thank you for everything. ♥
