Della Yancey

Mrs. Della Gladys Yancey, of Williston, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, June 8th, 2018, at her home surrounded by family and friends. She was 85. Born in Montrose, Georgia, she came to Williston in 1950 from Toomsboro, Georgia. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Williston, she taught Sunday School for many years and was active in the childrens' programs. She was employed by the City of Williston as secretary for several years. Gardening was her hobby but her top priority was always her family. Survivors are: 1 daughter, Renva Peters and husband Scott; 1 brother, Jack Montgomery; 1 grandson, Nathan Nettles and wife Jessica; and 2 great grandchildren, Collin Nettles and Dylan Nettles. A memorial will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2018 in the chapel of Knauff Funeral Home - Williston with Pastor Tony Clubb officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to Haven Hospice Care Center. Knauff Funeral Home - Williston in charge of arrangements. SERVICES
