Landon Sager, Jr.

Mr. Landon O. "Jerry" Sager, Jr., of Williston, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at E.T. York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville. He was 77. Born in Elizabethtown, North Carolina, he came to Williston 25 years ago from Macon, Georgia. He was an electronics specialist in civil service and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. His hobbies were jigsaw puzzles, reading, woodworking, needleworking, and crafts of all kinds. He was a member of the Grand Squares and Ocala Twirlers square dancing clubs. He was a volunteer for Holiday Hope and for Nature Coast Hospital Auxiliary of Williston. He leaves 1 son, Richard Sager; 1 daughter, Jeanne Wallace and husband Scott; 5 brothers, James Sager, Kieran, Edward, William, and Michael Connelly; 1 sister, Jean Bain; 5 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild. Mr. Sager was pre-deceased by 1 son; Landon O. Sager, III; 1 sister, Margaret Larsen; and 1 grandson, Dustin Horton. Private services will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida with Honor Guard services. Local arrangements under the care of Knauff Funeral Home - Williston.
