Faye Sache

Faye Irene Sache of Chiefland, FL passed away on Friday April 27, 2018, at Ayers Health and Rehab in Trenton, FL. She was 70. Faye was born on March 9, 1948 to her parents Porter J. and E. Josephine Sache. She was a graduate of Chiefland High School, Lake City Community College and the University of West Alabama where she majored in Biology. Upon returning home to the family farm where she was raised outside of Chiefland, FL, she embarked on a career as a Biology/Chemistry teacher for 36 years at Chiefland High School. Faye was on a national poultry judging team in 1965 for 4H and FFA and coached state winning poultry judging. She coached tennis, and was a cheerleader and beta club sponsor. But she is also known for being the best cake maker in the tri-county area, and enjoyed making cakes for fundraisers, school and charitable functions, and friends and family. Faye is predeceased by her brother Porter "Buddy" Sache Jr. She is survived by her sisters Donna (Billy) Leggett and Portia Sache, brother Wesley (Debi) Sache, nephews Leslie "Tater" Keene, Porter Leo Sache, Jake (Tiffany) Sache, Seth (Morgan) Sache, Darrell Norris and Cason Nessmith, great- nephew Kade Sache, and great-nieces Avery, Emmalee, Sadie and Weslyn Sache. A service will be held on Monday April 30, 2018, 2:00 PM at the Hardeetown Baptist Church in Chiefland, FL. with Pastor Jamie Brock officiating. Visitation will be Sunday April 29, 2018 from 6:00-9:00 PM at the Knauff Funeral Home Chapel in Chiefland, FL. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Class of 1966 memorial scholarship fund at P.O. Box 1476, Chiefland, FL 32644. Arrangements are under the care of Knauff Funeral Home, Chiefland, FL.
