Sonya Griffin

Mrs. Sonya Griffin, of Ocala, passed away at her home Thursday, March 29, 2018. She was 70. Born in Gainesville, she came to Ocala 45 years ago from Williston. She and her husband owned and operated the Sunshine Drug Store in Ocala for many years. Mrs. Griffin was a collector of many things and enjoyed being a grandmother but her main priority in life was her family. She leaves her husband, Larry, of 49 years; 6 sons, Larry Griffin, Jr. and wife Amy, Robert Griffin and wife Kristy, Ryan Griffin and wife Laura, Radley Griffin and wife Lauren, Reginald Griffin, and Roger Griffin and wife Mandi; 1 brother, Julian Shore; and 11 grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2018 at Orange Hill Cemetery in Williston, Florida, with Chaplin Doug Ferguson officiating.
