Edwin Walkup, Jr.

Mr. Edwin F. Walkup, a lifetime resident of McIntosh, Florida, passed away Tuesday, March 27th at his home. He was 66. He was born in Gainesville, Florida, and was an owner of a fence company for many years before his retirement. Mr. Walkup was a member of the Florida Gator Booster Club and was an avid fan of the Gators. His hobbies were being outdoors, hunting, and fishing. Survivors are: wife, Celeste, of 23 years; 2 sons, Billy and wife Michelle Walkup, and John Wilson; 1 sister, Helen Cairns and husband Bob; and 2 granddaughters, Reagan and Reese. A memorial service will be held graveside 1:00 p.m. April 7th, 2018 at the McIntosh Cemetery in McIntosh, Florida. Reception will follow service at the Presbyterian Community Church in McIntosh.
