Matthew Carlisle

Chance Carlisle, of Williston, died January 14, 2018 as a result of an automobile accident. He was 33. Born and raised in Williston, he graduated from Williston High School in 2003, where he belonged to the Future Farmers of America. Chance was also involved in the High School Rodeo Association. He belonged to the Williston Church of God. He was a farmer and cattleman. He was a member of the Gulf Hammock Hunting Club, as well as Magee Branch Hunting Club. He was an avid hunter. Chance never met a stranger, and would always leave you with a smile. If laughter was a medicine, Chance was an overdose. His survivors include: his daughter, Vallie Kaye Carlisle; girlfriend, Dara & his little piggy Ava Jo; his parents, J.L. & Janice Carlisle; 2 brothers, Shaun Carlisle, his wife Kim, and son Gage, and Jamie Carlisle, his wife Nicole, and children Jayci & Maddux; 1 sister, Jana Carlisle; grandparents, Papa John L. Whilden & Nana Shirley Whilden; and a very special sissy, Carmen Whilden Beasley. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Papa Pete Carlisle & Granny Francis Carlisle. Chance was a beloved young man in our community, he also leaves a host of relatives and friends. A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Knauff Funeral Home in Williston, Florida from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m, followed by a graveside service 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Plummer Cemetery under the direction of Knauff Funeral Home - Williston.
