Elaine Damiani

Mrs. Elaine M. Damiani, of Dunnellon "Rainbow Springs", passed away Friday, December 1, 2017 at Shands Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. She was 68. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she came to this area six years ago from Cornwall, New York. She was a retired laboratory supervisor at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, New York. She was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Fellowship in Romeo, FL. She was very active in her community, she did volunteer work for the Marion Chamber of Commerce, the Dunnellon Public Library, and the Community Thrift Shop in Dunnellon. She loved gardening and people, but her top priority was her family. Survivors are: husband, Kenneth; mother, Ann Damiani; 1 daughter, Jo Ann Vanasco and her fiancee Matthew Mohler; 2 brothers, Ernest Damiani and Nicholas Damiani and wife Lauri; 2 grandchildren, Morgan and Ricky; and 8 step-grandchildren. A memorial will be held at a later date. Knauff Funeral Home - Williston in charge of arrangements.
