Donald Hunt

Mr. Donald Lee Hunt, of Bronson, Florida, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the V.A. Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida. He was 82. Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, he came to Bronson in 2009 from Ocala, where he had lived for fifteen years. He was a Baptist, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy, and he was president of the Knoxville, Tennessee Lions Club. His hobbies were gardening, taking care of his dog, Buddy, and his two donkeys, Mike and Ike. He leaves his wife, Judy, of 34 years; 1 son, Douglas and wife Lisa Hunt; 1 step-son, Brian and wife Abigail Newman; 1 daughter, Melinda McBride; 1 step-daughter, Melissa and husband Charles Bridges; 1 sister, Wanda and husband Herb Bell; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Bronson First Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Buchanan officiating.
