James Murrin

Mr. James Eugene Murrin, of Cedar Key, Florida, passed away Thursday, November 9th, 2017 at Park Meadows Health and Rehabilitation Center in Gainesville, Florida. He was 89. Mr. Murrin was born in Pittsburgh, PA. He came to Chiefland in 1980 and moved to Cedar Key in 2011. he was a member of the Fowlers Bluff Baptist Church and a member of the V.F.W. post in Chiefland. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines and was extremely proud to be a Marine. Following his service, he was in the building/construction industry as a carpenter. His hobbies were fishing and working in his yard. Survivors are: 2 daughters, Liz Murrin and Becky Bingaman and husband Steve; his friend, Elsie Wilson; 2 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, November 13th, 2017 at the Knauff Funeral Home Chapel in Chiefland, Florida, with Pastor Eddie Hatch officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00-3:00 p.m. Monday, November 13, 2017 at the Knauff Funeral Home Chapel. Knauff Funeral Home - Chiefland in charge of arrangements. SERVICES
