Duane Yancey

Mr. Duane G. Yancey, a lifetime resident of Williston, Florida, passed away Friday, October 27th, 2017 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville. He was 75. Duane was a member of the Williston Chuch of God. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the Orange Lake V.F.W. He worked for many years as a logger and loved his work. His hobbies were hunting and fishing but his top priority was his family. Survivors are: mother, Norma Pendray; wife, Bonnie Yancey; 3 sons, Greg and wife Theresa Yancey, Jacob and wife Jodie Yancey, and Richie and wife Kelly Parker; 2 daughters, Angela Yancey and Holly Yancey; 1 brother, Larry Yancey; 1 sister, Rosie and husband Robert Clary; and 8 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the Williston Church of God with Pastor Wes Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Orange Hill Cemetery under the direction of Knauff Funeral Home - Williston. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials of your choice be made.
