Lucille Harris

Mrs. Lucille Elaine Harris, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017. She was 73. Mrs. Harris was born in Gainesville and spent most of her life there. She taught school in Brandon, Florida for 15 years and was in real estate and property management in Gainesville for 10 years before she retired. She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in LaCrosse, Florida. Her hobbies were gambling, fishing, and teaching children, but her top priority was her family. Survivors are: 1 daughter, Tammy Porter; 1 brother, Hollis and his wife Judith Harris; 1 sister, Judy Tompkins; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 6th, 2017 in the chapel of Knauff Funeral Home - Williston, with Pastor Keith Stewart officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
