Linda Crawford

Linda Sue Crawford went home to be with the Lord Tuesday morning, August 15th. She passed away suddenly, fortunately in the company of her sister, who loved her dearly. Linda never met a stranger. They were just friends she had never met. Although she never married and had no children of her own, she was known by many children of Williston for whom she cared. Aunt Linda will be sorely missed by Grayson, Weston, Grady, Jadyn, Brynley, Brynleigh, Jackson, and MJ. She was an integral part of the Crawford, Phillips, Bullock, Fugate, and Winkle families. She will live on in the hearts of her sisters, Vicki Winkle (Bill) and Shirley Phillips (Derryl); brothers, Bo (Robert) Crawford and Walter Crawford; and in the hearts of many who were privileged to have shared her kind heart. Linda enjoyed helping take care of children and anyone who needed help. She liked to feed the cats, dogs, and cattle at the ranch, and helping out whenever she could. She also played nickel-nickel, a card game, with her family several times a week, and often beat the pants off her sister and brother-in-law. Everybody in Williston knew her and will miss her. Wednesday night Bible study at the Fellowship Hall behind the Methodist Church will never be the same. We all will miss her and look forward to seeing her again when we get called home. If Linda went for a loaf of bread at Winn Dixie in Williston, you might not see her for a couple of hours as she had to "catch up" with everybody she ran into. Fair winds and clear skies to you, Linda. We will miss you. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Florida United Methodist Children's Home, 51 Main St., Enterprise, FL 32725, in Linda Crawford's name. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 19th, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Williston, with Pastor Danny Bennet officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Knauff Funeral Home - Williston in charge of arrangements. SERVICES
