Lavonnie Layton

Mrs. Lavonnie Jean Layton passed away Thursday, July 13th, 2017 at E.T. York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville, Florida. She was 73. Born and raised in Williston, she lived in Cartersville, Georgia for several years before returning to Williston. She was a member of the Cartersville Baptist Church and for 23 years she was the receptionist at the Oak View Care Center in Williston. Her hobbies were fishing and gardening, but her top priority was her family. Survivors are: husband, Paul Layton; 4 sons, Marvin and wife Terry Santerfeit, Tony Santerfeit, Billy and wife Dorothy Santerfeit, and Michael Santerfeit; 1 daughter, Susan and husband Rodney Brown; 1 sister, Remona Dixon; and her number one grandson and best friend, Tyler Shirah and 4 other grandchildren. She is pre-deceased by her son, James Layton. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 19th, 2017 at the Chapel of Knauff Funeral Home - Williston. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Knauff Funeral Home - Williston in charge of arrangements. SERVICES
