George Cason

George Daniel "Danny" Cason, 58, a 7th generation Floridian, died July 15, 2017 in Plant City, FL. He was retired from the US Air Force and was very active in Veterans affairs. He was working with the Veterans Memorial Park and Museum, Project Return and taught classes at NAMI in Tampa. He was an active member of Thonotosassa Methodist Church and Port Tampa #153 Masonic Lodge. He is preceeded in death by his wife, Doris J., his father George M. "Sonny" Cason, his step-father, Robert G. "Bobby" Snow and his brother James H. "Jimmy" Cason. He is survived by his mother, Betty Cason Snow; his brother, Stephen W. of Lecanto, and a niece, Rachel Booth of Gainesville. A service of remembrance will be held Friday, July 21 at 11 a.m. at Eden Baptist Church, 22308 Lake Lindsey Road, Brooksville with Rev. Damont Drake officiating. Interment will be at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Arrangements are in the care of Knauff Funeral Home-Chiefland, FL (352)493-4777.
