Edna Whittle

Mrs. Edna L. Whittle, a 45 year resident of Dunnellon, FL, passed away Saturday, July 1st, 2017 at Estelle's Hospice House in Ocala. She was 97. Born in Largo, FL, she came to Dunnellon from Pinellas county. She was a member of the Morriston Baptist Church and loved being a part of the "Red Hat" Ladies' club. For ten years she worked for the Pinellas Public School system and for fifteen years she was a nurse's aide at the Williston Memorial Hospital. Her hobbies were reading and gardening. She loved her animals but her top priority was always her family. She leaves one son, Rodney M. and wife Vickie; 1 daughter, Sharon and husband Chris Wisham; 1 sister, Lucille Walterson; 3 grandchildren, Theresa, Chris Jr., and Symtha; and 1 great grandchild, Jessie. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday July 6th, 2017 at the chapel of Knauff Funeral Home - Williston, with Pastor Keith Langford officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Dunnellon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be given to Estelle's Hospice House: 2897 Southeast 62 Street, Ocala, FL 34480.
