This was genuinely heartbreaking to hear. She was the mother to my best friend of many years, she was always kind, generous and brought a smile to any situation. It didn't matter how bleak the situation, she was there to help you through it. She was one of the first people I ever came out to, and one of the first people to ever support me. She was like a mother to me in the hardest time of my life. She provided sanctuary when my own home was falling apart, allowing me to stay many nights under her roof and taking care of me like I was her own. We spent countless nights watching old sitcoms on the living room tv when neither of us could sleep, and I hope she's saving me and my insomnia diagnosis a spot on the couch. I've been thinking about her lately, so to find this out was more heartbreaking than I could've imagined. It still doesn't feel real. You're leaving a hole that nobody will be able to fill, I hope you're resting easily.
