Roy Keown

Mr. Roy Dwight Keown, of Williston, Florida, passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. He was 68. Born in Madisonville, Kentucky, he came to Williston 3 years ago from Hanson, Kentucky. He honorably served in the U.S. Army, was a retired Lieutenant Colonel and a helicopter pilot. After retirement, he taught ROTC at Muhlenberg County North and Henderson County High School in Kentucky. Survivors are: his wife, Bevery; three sons, Dain Keown, Adam Keown, and Jacob Keown; one step-son, Joe and fiance Lacey; one daughter, Laura and husband Tracy Butero; four brothers, David Keown, Gary Keown, Kenneth Keown, and Steve Keown; six grandchildren, Hunter, Natalie Kahlil, Rowan, Cael, Sarah, and Ben. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Pamela. Knauff Funeral Home - Williston in charge of arrangements.
