Thomas O'Connell

Thomas "Tim" M. O'Connell, Jr., 69, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 in Brooksville, FL. He was born in Dowagiac, Michigan. He graduated from Stranahan High School in Ft. Lauderdale and then went on to receive a Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from the University of Florida. A member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity, he also received an Award of Excellence for Graduate Research. He raised a family in Catonsville, MD and owned a local butcher shop, The Great Meat. He returned to Florida last year. He enjoyed fishing, golf, tennis and was an avid Gator fan, but his top priority in life was always his family. He is survived by daughter, Rebecca, her husband, Chris York and granddaughter, Olivia. A son, Andrew O'Connell; Former Wife, Judy Lee O'Connell and sister, Doane Bryan. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery in Micanopy, FL. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30AM at Knauff Funeral Home in Williston, FL prior to service at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society of Pasco County, P.O.
