Norman LaFlam

Norman David LaFlam, of Bronson, Florida, passed away Sunday, January 22nd, 2017 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida. He was 74. Born in North Hampton, Massachusetts, he came to Bronson 19 years ago from California. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Archer, Florida. He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association, a member of the Vetset Corvette club of Gainesville, and a member of the Operating Engineers Union in California. His hobbies were golf, riding motor cycles, driving corvettes, and serving his Lord, but his top priority was his family. Survivors are: wife, Melody; son Matthew and wife Samantha LaFlam; step-son, Mark Jayson Loar; daughter, Jane Marie LaFlam; brother Harold Michael and wife Maryann LaFlam; 2 sisters, Teri and husband James Kimmes, Sandie and husband Gregg Earton; 11 grandchildren, Natasha, Bradly, Kristy, Michael, Colton, Melanie, Mathison, Lilly, Kristopher, Joseph, and Michael; and 2 great grandchildren, Katie and Alucard. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Archer, FL. with Reverend Travis Hudson officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be given to: Meridian Behavioral Healthcare, Prevention Department 4300 SW 13th St. Gainesville, FL 32608 Knauff Funeral Home - Williston in charge of arrangements.
