Edna Howell

Edna Frances Beaver Howell, of Williston, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on October 14, 2016. She was 98. Born in Marysville, Tennessee, she came to Williston in 1960. She opened and operated the Driftwood restaurant in Williston for 25 years. She retired in 1991. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Williston and her hobbies were cooking, hunting, meeting people, especially the patrons she served at her restaurant. She came to Williston from Miami, where she served returning WWII veterans in the hotel and garment industries. Edna was exposed to hard work at an early age and was plowing with a mule at the age of 16. She is survived by her good friend and caregiver, Virginia Lane; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and many, many loving friends who had become her extended family. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Knauff Funeral Home - Williston. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Orange Hill Cemetery under the direction of Knauff Funeral Home - Williston. SERVICES Funeral Service
