George Ranslow

Mr. George Clifford Ranslow, of Archer, Florida, passed away October 11th, 2016. He was 99. Born in Waterbury Connecticut, he came to Archer 37 years ago from Wolcott, Connecticut. He was a member of the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church in Archer, Florida. He retired in 1977 from the Wolcott Police Department and was the first police chief in Wolcott. He was a member of the Wolcott Masonic Lodge and a member of Happy Sam's RV Club. His hobbies were camping, golf, and traveling, but his top priority was his family. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, of 55 years; 2 daughters, Diane Hull, Sharon Diagh and husband Bud; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his daughter, Karen R. Surprenant in 2014. Funeral services will be graveside at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Archer, Florida on Monday, October 17th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service with Reverend Josh Barley officiating.
