Harriett Downs

Mrs. Harriett E. Downs, of Williston, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, October 4th, 2016. She was 73. Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she came to Williston 35 years ago from South Florida. She owned and operated Harriett Downs Real Estate Company in Levy County for 31 years. Harriett loved people and selling real estate, but her top priority was her family. She was a member of the Williston Womens' Club and the Williston Chamber of Commerce. Survivors are: 1 son: Marc Pompeo and his wife Angela; 1 daughter: Natalie Grindle-Pompeo and husband Mark; 1 step-daughter: Laura Eden and her husband Michael; 1 sister: Sonia Smith; 6 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 15th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Knauff Funeral Home - Williston. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. The services will be conducted by Mrs. Downs' adopted grandson, Assi Timah. Arrangements under the care of Knauff Funeral Home - Williston. SERVICES
