Bobby Daniel

Bobby Joe Daniel, "Papa Joe," 74, of Gulf Hammock, Florida, died on June 14, 2016. Born October 10, 1941 in Cumberland, Mississippi to Helen Kirkland and Orville Daniel. Joe was married on December 17, 1961 to Dorothy Lana Berryhill. He is also survived by their three children; Jane Daniel Sparrow (Michael), Linda Carol Fugate (Duane Aaron), "Little Joe" Daniel (Liz), 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters; Rebekah Anne Clemons, of Pontotoc, Mississippi and Carolyn Richburg, of Palm Beach, Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Kirkland, and his brother, George Daniel. Joe was a Lieutenant with Gainesville Fire Rescue. He also worked as a houseparent with the Division of Forestry at the Levy County Youth Academy. He coached at Bronson High School for the girls basketball, softball, and volleyball, as well as the boys baseball team. What he enjoyed the most was his last "job," charter fishing guide. During the course of his life, he has touched many lives. He has accumulated many friends that we count as our family. The impact of his passing will leave a ripple on the tides of all our hearts. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 18, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. at the Williston Church of God. Burial will follow at the Cedars of Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening, June 17, 2016, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Williston Church of God. Knauff Funeral Home Williston in charge of arrangements. SERVICES Funeral Service
