Donald Richburg

Donald H. Richburg, Catfish, 79, of Cedar Key passed away Monday, March 28th, 2016 at North Florida Regional Hospital in Gainesville. Born in Cedar Key, FL, he lived there all of his life. Mr. Richburg served as the Levy County Tax Collector for 24 years. He was a member of Hardeetown Baptist Church but also attended the 1st Baptist Church of Chiefland and he was a member of the Chiefland Golf and Country Club. Mr. Richburg is survived by his wife, Carol Richburg of Cedar Key; two daughters, Donalene Richburg of Gainesville and Sonya (Derek) Schmidt of Chiefland; a brother, Harry Richburg of Schertz, TX; and two grandchildren, Garrett Schmidt and Meghan Schmidt. There will be a Visitation on Thursday, March 31st, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Knauff Funeral Home in Chiefland. Services will be graveside Friday, April 1st, 2016 beginning at 11:00 am at Cedar Key Cemetery in Cedar Key.
