Harley Butts

Mr. Harley Elmo Butts, 81, of Williston passed away November 4, 2015. Mr. Butts was born in Pauline, KS, but had lived in the Williston area since 1975 after moving here from Pompano Beach, FL. Mr. Butts worked as a farrier for many years and primarily shod Standardbred horses that only the most experienced farriers could do. Mr. Butts, also participated in prison ministries for 10 years in the Gainesville area. Mr. Butts was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bronson and was preceded in death by an infant daughter Martha Butts. Mr. Butts is survived by his wife of 59 years Hazel Butts, his sons Richard Butts (Marie), David Butts (Mihaela), Charles Butts (Sheila), John Butts (Karen), and Daniel Butts (Tina), his daughters Joyce Waggoner (Ric) and Dana Sloan, seventeen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and other family members. Funeral services for Mr. Butts will be held 2:30 PM Sunday, November 8, 2015 in the First Baptist Church of Bronson. Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery in Williston.
