Ann Chewning

Ann Marie Chewning, 82, of Fanning Springs, FL passed away Monday, December 29, 2014. Mrs. Chewning was born in Baltimore, MD, but had lived in the Fanning Springs area since 2000 after moving there from Tampa. Mrs. Chewning worked for several years as an HRS supervisor in Tampa, volunteered with Haven Hospice, and loved animals. Mrs. Chewning was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Cross City. Mrs. Chewning is survived by her sons Brant (Louann) Chewning of Old Town, Robert (Marilyn) Chewning of Ft. Myers, FL, Glenn Chewning of Fanning Springs, and Keith (Dianne) Chewning of Old Town, her daughters Darlene Langhoff of Old Town and Dawn Chewning of Sevierville, TN, her brother Jimmy (Mary) Zurgable, and her sisters Mary Jo (Bob) Banloon, Dorothy Holden, and Rosalie (George) Baker. Ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, other family members, and friends, also survive. A funeral mass will be held for Mrs. Chewning 2:00 PM Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Cross City with Father Joseph McDonnell officiating.
