Justin Westbrooks

Justin Pierce Westbrooks, 38, of DeLeon Springs, Florida, passed away on April 13 in Bronson, Florida. Justin was born in Enid, Oklahoma, to Lester and Deborah Westbrooks on September 16, 1987. He was a loving and passionate person who loved Jesus, his family, aviation, and the Tennessee Volunteers.

Justin was a dedicated pilot who graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2009 with a degree in Aeronautical Science. He began his career as a First Officer with Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA), where he flew from 2010 to 2016. In 2016, Justin joined Delta Air Lines as a First Officer on the Boeing 737, later becoming a Captain and Line Check Airman on the Boeing 757/767. Justin loved being a pilot for Delta and sharing his love of aviation with others. Recently, Justin and his wife realized his lifelong dream of owning property, raising beef cattle, and raising their children in the country.

Justin is survived by his wife, Amanda (Paisley); his children, Kensie (9), Barrett (7), Logan (4), and Peyton (1); his parents, Les and Deborah; his brother, Lucas Westbrooks (Hannah), Grandmother Louise Westbrooks, and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his two unborn children; his aunt, Janice Cordell; his grandfather, Bill Cordell; his grandmother Ellen Cordell; and his grandfather, Wilburn Westbrooks.

A celebration of life will be held at Tomoka Christian Church in Ormond Beach, Florida, on May 30 at 10:00 a.m, with the family receiving guests at 9:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the GoFundMe set up for his wife, Amanda, and their children as they work to carry on his wish of homeschooling the children.

Justin will be remembered for his steadfast faith, his love for his family, friends, flying and football. His legacy will live on through the lives he touched and the love he shared.
