In Loving Memory of David Wayne Morris 
1959 – 2026

David Wayne Morris, 67, of Morriston, passed away on April 28, 2026.

Born in Portland, David was a free, fearless spirit—a gentle yet bold man who lived life on his own terms until the very end.

He carried a rare kind of fire: rebellious in the name of love, fiercely independent, and deeply alive to the present moment. He did not merely pass through life—he lived it as though gifted many lifetimes, embracing each chapter fully, with courage, conviction, and unmistakable character.

He was a man of many trades, but perhaps his greatest calling was simpler and greater still: to live life to the fullest possible—here and now. He believed in living awake, loving deeply, and standing firmly in his truth.

David often lived by a personal code reflected in the words he admired:

“I won’t be wronged. 
I won’t be insulted. 
I won’t be laid a hand on. 
I don’t do these things to other people, 
and I require the same from them.”

And he carried another truth close:

“A man’s got to have a code, a creed to live by.”

That was David—he had a code. He had a creed. And he lived by it.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sasha Morris.

A private family remembrance will be held in his honor.

David Wayne Morris lived freely, loved fiercely, and left this world unmistakably himself. He will be remembered always.
