William Billy Underwood

William Jessie Underwood, also known as “Willy the Wheel”, 70, passed away on May 14th, 2026, In Gainesville, Florida. William was the third son born to Oscar Raymond and Susan Ann Underwood, in Clearwater, Florida on May 14th, 1955. He spent numerous years as a truck driver and helping with the clamming and mullet businesses out of Cedar Key, Florida. William thoroughly enjoyed fishing, loved music, his family and was always the type to stay in touch.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Susan Underwood; and his brother, Robert Ellis Underwood.

He is survived by his brothers, Stan Underwood(Jann), James E. Underwood(Joyce) and John W. Underwood(Gale). As well as two very close cousins that resided in North Carolina and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held on May 27th at 10:00 AM at Joppa Cemetery.
