Obituary

Susan (Susie) Michelle-Bischof Stancil, born December 19th, 1972 in Bainbridge, Georgia, passed away in her home in Gulf Hammock, Florida early Wednesday morning, May 20th, 2026. She was surrounded by her loving husband and two daughters. Susie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, riding around in the woods, watching baseball, going on trips with her husband and anywhere with water. She was a vibrant and caring woman that would light up every room she walked into.

She was survived by her husband Scott Stancil; two daughters Rochelle Stancil and Gabby Merchen; her parents Dorothy and Butch Bischof as well as her three older brothers Fred, Richard and Wayne Bischof.

A celebration of life will be held Monday May 25, 2026 at 4:00 pm at 2850 NE County Road 337, Bronson, Fl 32621.

Susie dedicated over 15 years to teaching elementary school students, with a special interest in helping students with special needs. In her honor, her family requests all donations will be directly used as funds for the Pre-K classrooms in Levy County.

Susie was my cousin. I have fond memories of her and I being at our Grandmother's home for fish fry and hushpuppies. I also remember spending Christmas and Thanksgiving together. She had a unique smile that made her shine. Although I rarely saw her in adult life, I kept up with her on Facebook. Susie helped me with positive thoughts when she learned my oldest daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer. Although Susie was suffering greatly with her cancer, she still took time to check on her. I loved her:)
