Thomas Wayne “Tommy” Dean
Thomas Wayne “Tommy” Dean, a beloved resident of Bronson, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on October 25, 1941, in Williston, Florida, Tommy lived a life deeply rooted in faith, family, and community.
Tommy was the cherished husband of Sharon Gordon Dean, with whom he shared many years of love and companionship. He is also survived by his brother John Morris Dean and his wife Sandy, his sister Emma Jean Graham, as well as his nephew Steve Coleman. He had four grandchildren; Tabitha Dean, Amanda Hunt, Lana Atalig and Brody Dean. He had eight grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Tommy was predeceased by his parents, John Allen Dean and Rubye Stephens Dean, and his son, Vince Dean along with eleven siblings: Marion Louise Dean, Verda Junita Dean, Kioweta Delores Dean, Eunice Eva Dean, Grady Eugene Dean, Percy Allen Dean, Portia Leona Dean, Patricia Ann Dean, Clara Nell Graham, Wynell Dean, and Patricia Ann Dean.
Tommy was a member of Ellzey Methodist Church in Ellzey, Florida. He loved his church and its congregation.
Tommy served in the Army for three years and was primarily stationed in Germany. He was a member of the Florida National Guard for 20 years. He was the unit Soldier of the Year in 1992.
Tommy had several occupations. He was a retail manager, an auctioneer from the Florida Auction Service of Ocala and retired from the Levy County Recycling Center.
Tommy’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing. A Graveside Service will be held on
June 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Rosemary Hill Cemetery S.R. 24.
