James Robert Davis, known to his family and friends as Robert, passed away on June 7, 2026, at the age of 54.

Robert was born on February 24, 1972, in Ocala, Florida. He spent his career working as a heavy equipment operator in the logging industry, a profession that reflected his strong work ethic and dedication.

In his free time, Robert enjoyed fishing, race cars, and UFC fights. He could often be found watching reruns of Yellowstone, one of his favorite shows. More than anything, Robert had a special way with children and was dearly loved by all the kids in his life.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, James Donnie Davis; his grandparents, Dave and Edna Davis; and his grandfather, James Fender.

He is survived by his mother, Marcella Dianne Kenel; his sister, Tina Turner; his grandmother, Betty Fender; his uncles, Joe Davis, and Jimmy Fender; and his aunts, Connie Wilson, Elizabeth Parrish, Margaret Macy, and Donna Lewis. He also leaves behind his 4-year-old second cousin and namesake, James Nocifora, and nephew, Cade Turner, along with many other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Montbrook Cemetery.

Directions to Montbrook Cemetery: From US 27 near McDonald's in Williston, proceed on US 41 toward Morriston for approximately 4.1 miles. Near the intersection with SE 2nd Street, you will see a Montbrook sign directing traffic to the left. Please disregard this direction and turn right onto SE 2nd Street. Continue for approximately 0.3 miles; the cemetery entrance will be on the right-hand side of the road.

I remember riding through the woods with him always chasing a gator and he had no fear!! I shared some good times with him, about 11 yrs...i sure hope he dont give them too much problems in heaven! RIP chicken legs!
